The refixing of some of the flashings and the refixing of clipped tiles is required to the Chancel and Nave roofs. This best conducted when scaffolding is available.
West Window to the Nave;
The glazing to the 3 No windows is missing quarries, the leadwork is brittle and the ironwork is rusting. The general repair is necessary.
The stonework is generally in good condition but leaking rainwater goods has caused the mortar to be washed out of joints. There are open joints under the copings and at ground level. The local repointing is required in conjunction with the work to the roofs and rainwater goods. Attention is also required to the stonework where it is being damaged by the corroding ironwork.
The boiler room is affected by the high water table and is presently flooded with approximately 1 metre depth of water. The basement has no function. As part of the work rubble and debris will be generated. It is therefore proposed to resolve the problem and to reduce cost of disposing of the debris, the filling of the basement is proposed.
